Southern New Hampshire Medical Center’s inpatient Behavioral Health Unit allows patients the safe haven they need and the knowledge that anxiety, depression, mood disorders and addiction are real health issues and our partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs enable people to learn the skills and resources they need while maintaining a job or going to school, enabling them to focus on health and healing.
Our care teams also ensure collaboration and communication with our patients’ primary care provider and streamlined access to programs and specialists.
Behavioral Health Services
If you or someone you know needs immediate help with a personal or psychiatric crisis, call the Acute Community Crisis Evaluation Service System (ACCESS) at (603) 577-2728 or come directly to the Emergency Department. Southern New Hampshire Medical Center’s ACCESS team provides crisis evaluations 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our ACCESS team is available through the ED for for evaluation and referral of any patients who need support through placement in inpatient or outpatient programs.
Behavioral Health Services
Southern New Hampshire Medical Center’s Behavioral health unit team includes board certified psychiatrists, psychiatric nurses, and other behavioral health professionals who will work with patients to develop a treatment plan so that you can return to your daily life.
For individuals who struggle with mood and/or anxiety disorders, Southern New Hampshire Medical Center offers intensive short-term group therapy for individuals. Our goal is to empower participants to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to manage their illness.
Designed for individuals struggling with substance misuse issues, this program allows patients to attend sessions and receive treatment while living in the comfort of their own home and continuing to work in the community. Our goal is to help patients establish a foundation for life-long sobriety in a safe and supportive group environment.
We offer individual counseling by behavioral health counselors at our Foundation Medical Partners primary care practices throughout the greater Nashua area. Call us to be referred to one of our providers.
